Newsletter April 7th

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hope you are well and enjoying the fine weather. Just keeping you up to date on school

events.

Congratulations to all our children who took part in Scór County Finals last Saturday in

Ovens. While not being placed the children performed very well and did themselves, their

families and our school proud. We congratulate them on reaching the final and a big thank

you to everybody involved in their preparation and travelled with them on the day.

Good luck to all the boys and girls taking part in the Basketball Blitz in Scoil Mhuire this

Tuesday and Thursday. Thanks to those involved in their preparation.

Our annual school Quiz is on this Wednesday 7-9 p.m. in the school hall. A great night is

promised. 

As mentioned before we have;

• 2 categories 3rd/4th and 5th/6th

• €20 per team

• Shop and raffle on the night

• 7pm -9p.m. School Hall

Returns Bottles / Cans update

Thanking you all for supporting and donating your plastic bottles /cans to our orange ReTurn

Bin at the front of the school. We have it emptied twice already.

Our first bin load was donated to us by Mt Hillary AC, given to us after their race in March.

This made €33.80 for us. We emptied it again last week and this came to €44.45. This money

will be used to buy more Sports Equipment for Yard use.

As you know we are in the process of devising a new Anti-Bullying Policy called Bí Cinealta.

You received a link from Mr Woods inviting you to participate in a survey gathering

data/information from you, the parents. If you have not completed this survey we remind you

to do so by Thursday April 10th. Thanking you for your support.

The school will be closing for Easter Holidays this Friday April 11th. We will have the usual

staggered home times. (3rd-6th) class and their siblings will be going home at 12.15, while

Junior Infants – 2nd will go home at 12.30. The school will reopen on Monday April 28th

.
