Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We hope you are well & survived the recent bad weather! Just a few items we would like to share, to keep you updated on events happening in the school.
• We had a busy time before Christmas. We thank everyone involved in the fun and activities spreading the Christmas cheer. Our Parents’Association donated €400 to S.V.P. on behalf of the children to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We thank them most sincerely for this. Our Carol Singers also donated €300 of money collected to S.V.P. to help those in need before Christmas.
• We thank you for your co-operation in the Traffic Management System in place, both in the mornings & evenings. We remind you that you must have a permit to park in the designated disability spaces. We remind you too that parents of all classes collecting children at home time should not arrive or park on school grounds earlier than the agreed collection time. Very early arrival of parents can cause confusion and distress for some pupils, who may think it is time to go home. This can impact their emotional regulation and the overall calm of the school environment. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us maintain a calm and supportive school day for everyone.
• This a special year for our 2nd class children, as they prepare to receive Holy Communion for the first time this year. First Penance is Tuesday February 24th at 7p.m. We wish them all well in their preparations.

We hope as many Grandparents, Parents, Guardians & extended Family can join us for Mass in the Church at 10a.m. You are also invited to come back to the school after Mass to visit your Child’s class, have a cuppa & have a chat in the School Hall. We would appreciate any Home-Baking or confectionary for this event & would appreciate if you could drop these into the school before Mass. Thanking you in advance for your support.
• We will also be celebrating St. Brigid's Day on Friday January 30th at school & the children will be making St. Brigid's Crosses. This is an important symbol of St. Brigid & the children will be sharing these crosses with their Parents/Guardians/Grandparents on the day.
