Mrs Linehan's class were baking yesterday as it was their last day with our Student teacher, Miss O' Regan. They were baking rice krispie buns & had a fun Friday!

Mr Bourke’s 1st Class spoke all about World Kindness Day. Then different Kindness tasks were given to each child to be completed by the end of the day eg Pay someone a compliment, help someone, hold open a door etc. 💕

Marie from #CorkMentalHealth spoke to our 6th Classes about coping with stress, understanding their feelings and preparing for the transition to secondary school.

They explored how washing-up liquid breaks down the fat in milk, using food colouring to show the reaction.

Day 1 : 🎈💥 POP goes Science Week in Ms Boyce’s 3rd!

Every day they pop a balloon to reveal the day's science experiment… today it was SLIME time! 🧪✨

The 3rd Class scientists explored polymers, mixed up some gooey magic, and learned that slime is BOTH a solid AND a liquid! 🤯

We are delighted in Scoil Naomh Pádraig with all the reading that is being done throughout the school, In September alone we read over 4 million words! WOW!

Some children have even reached their 1st Reading Target.

Well done to everybody.

17th Oct - Maths Week in 4th Class

4th Class loved doing their Smartie Box survey.

They counted, sorted & tallied the smarties & then drew a bar graph of their findings!

And the pièce de résistance… they got to eat the smarties afterwards!

They examined the paintings of "Kandinsky" and his use of circles while painting!

Oct 1st - Climbing Claragh Mt

Our 6th Classes climbed Claragh Mt today.

It is part of the Derrynasaggart Mountain range which spreads across the Cork-Kerry border.

It is 452m high.
